Early morning single lane closure planned on SR 433 Lewis and Clark Bridge for repairs May 25.

LONGVIEW - People who use the State Route 433 Lewis and Clark Bridge connecting Longview WA and Rainer OR should plan ahead for additional travel time.

On Thursday May 25 Washington State Department of Transportation bridge maintenance crews return to reinforce the fractured floor beam. Crews will also try to smooth out the bump from the temporary plate currently causing additional congestion and delays on the bridge. The plate will remain in place until the finger joints are replaced this July.

Thursday May 25 from 1:30 - 9:30 am travelers in both directions of the SR 433 Lewis and Clark Bridge will alternate intermittently through a single lane closure with flaggers.

Delays are expected while crossing the bridge - travelers should stay focused and watch for instructions from flagging personnel. No bridge work is scheduled over the Memorial Day holiday weekend
