Columbia County Backyard Composting Survey

Columbia County in partnership with Oregon State University Extension Office are conducting a countywide backyard composting survey. We want to hear from the community about their understanding of and interest in backyard composting. Backyard composting is defined as a small system on someone’s property or yard where yard clippings and food scraps can break down and create a nutrient-rich matter (known as compost) used to help grow plants or crops.

Purpose: Provide insight into the community’s needs, perspectives and desires for backyard composting.
Participants: Columbia County residents
