W. Scott Jorgensen

W. Scott Jorgensen began his career as an award-winning reporter at various publications throughout Oregon and as a talk show host with the Grants Pass Broadcasting Corporation.
Scott has worked in the Oregon Legislature in both its Senate and House of Representatives and published four books on the state’s history, including works about former Governor Vic Atiyeh and former Secretary of State Dennis Richardson.
Jorgensen became a local government administrator after graduating from Portland State University’s Mark O. Hatfield School of Government in 2017 with an Executive Master’s in Public Administration. He has a son, James, and lives with his partner Sarah and daughters Laurie and Melody.
